Chelsea drawn against Fiorentina whilst Glasgow face a trip to Barcelona in the Women’s Champions League round of 16

CHELSEA WOMEN have been drawn against Italian side Fiorentina in the Women’s Champions League round of 16.

Emma Haye’s side beat Sarajevo 11-0 on aggregate in the last round as they aim to progress further in the competition than their semi-final place from last season.

The Blues are the only Women’s Super League side left in the competition after Manchester City suffered a shock defeat against Atletico Madrid in the round of 16.

Glasgow City have also found out their opponents and will face a tough challenge against Barcelona.

The Scottish side, who were unseeded in the draw, made it through to the round of 16 by beating Cypriot side Barcelona FA 2-1 on aggregate.

The ties will be played on 17/18 October and 31/1 November.
